Parent Teacher Association: Who We Are

PTA Organization

The Strandwood PTA is part of something much larger than just our school. We're part of the National PTA (Parent Teacher Association), a non-profit organization that began over 100 years ago.

Currently, the National PTA has over 6.5 million members, 26,000 chapters in all 50 states.

The PTA has significant lobbying power at the state and federal level when it comes to legislation that affects our kids. With over 6.5 million members nationwide, lawmakers have grown to respect and listen to the PTA. Our success is based largely on the numbers - together we make a lasting impact that benefits our kids.
